Our Philosophy
We have carefully cultivated a safe, supportive family atmosphere so children can take the lead and contribute meaningfully. We strive to create natural opportunities to help children assume responsibility.
We pray and hope that we are able to build a sense of agency and purpose in our children. The gap between learning, doing and contributing is intentionally blurred to bring out the best in the children so they can participate and serve in this community as valued members.
Children of different ages can learn and grow alongside a mixed aged group of peers and parents alike.
In the context of a nurturing community, all members fill a role, older students become natural mentors who inspire the young ones. In turn, the younger students gain the freedom to explore and express themselves in a safe environment.
The co-op community is structured in a such a way that everyone contributes and benefits from each other. Adult members / parents model collaboration and contribution while including the children (who are ready and keen) in important work so they can grow and develop skills as they work towards shared communal goals.
Amanah Homeschool Co-Op is designed to complement the important work that happens at home. Our programming and classes reflect the aspirations we have for our children in this shared community space.
Amanah Homeschool co-op is a place where
We enrich their world with varied experiences
We expand their world with communal relationships
We extend what they are learning at home
We help them express and share their ideas and learning adventures
